Living In Highlands Ranch - In Search Of The Perfect Pizza

NOW THAT YOU ARE MOVING TO HIGHLANDS RANCH - WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GET A DECENT PIZZA?
One of the most frequent questions that I am asked, once someone has decided to relocate to the Denver area, is about restaurants. That may seem odd, I am a REALTOR® afterall - but think about it. People are coming to a new place and may know virtually no one -or even how to get around. Who better to ask, then your local expert, right?
People always want to know where to eat, who has the best food, at the best prices and the like. One of the most common types of food I get asked about is Pizza. So if you are moving soon to Highlands Ranch, you are in luck. Here are a few of my family's favorite pizza joints in or very near Highlands Ranch. All are actually different from each other, so yes, it is possible to like more than one type of pizza.
Beau Jo's Mountain Pies - If you have spent any length of time in Colorado, chances are good that you have heard of Beau Jo's- and if you haven't - you need to! Beau Joe's is very unique - with their thick crusted pizza, it is ordered by the pound and with all of the topics they have to choose from - it is a total meal - very filling! They serve their pizza with a bottle of honey - dip your crust in honey for dessert. Tuesday night is a favorite for us at the Highlands Ranch County Line Rd location - that is family night and your kids get a significant discount based on their age. This is also a perfect eatery for families or people on the go - instead of ordering a custom made pie a pizza buffet is offered. It can be the perfect solution for those rushed nights or for a family that can not decide. Our favorites? My wife likes sausage, artichokes, mushrooms and black olives. I am more of a sausage & mushroom type of pizza guy. My kids, they choose the plain cheese or the pepperoni. *Note - I have run into several people looking for a gluten free pizza lately - if so, Beau Jo's has what you need as well as the regular dough.
Big Bill's New York Pizza - Need I say more. New York. My wife first found Big Bill's years ago and we have been going back ever since. And she should know, born in Brooklyn and raised close enough to go back on a regular basis - she is a New York style pizza critic. Not only is the food great, but she gets her dose of back east here as well. This is also a great place for a family meal on a sports night -tv's line the walls and you are sure to catch the game. Favorites for us - Green Peppers & Sausage. Big Bill's is located on the north west corner of County Line Rd and Holly.
Santoro's Brick Oven Pizza- Ok, so technically this is not in Highlands Ranch, but its so good, its worth the extra few minutes. This has to be one of the best brick oven pizzas ever (in my opinion of course). Located on Lincoln Avenue east of Yosemite in Lone Tree, this have become one of my children's favorite. Offering the usual but some unique styles as well, my kids feel so comfortable here as they wait for their meal at a small bar looking over at the pizza makers. They are generally handed a ball of dough and some flour and get to pretend to make a pizza as well. Talk about an easy wait for food! And speaking of the food, it is really good pizza. Our splurge favorite - The Meat Lasagna Pizza. They also have great optinos for a white sauce pizza too.
Enjoy your pizza!
