New Highlands Ranch School Ready To Open

Highlands Ranch neighborhood & Douglas County School District opens Stone Mountain Elementary
The doors are set to open today for the Community Open House of Stone Mountain Elementary in the Weatherstone Neighborhood of Highlands Ranch.
Today, January 5th, at 1:30pm, a Community Open House will be held so everyone can see how beautiful this new school is. The students have been attending school this year at a temporary location and will begin the second half of the year next week at Stone Mountain.
I have to say, the building is very nice. I have heard nothing but great things and it has been designed to be more environmentally friendly that other schools in the district.
Stone Mountain Elementary is located at 10265 Weathersfield Way in Highlands Ranch. The school district boundaries can be found here.
Open enrollment for Stone Mountain Elementary for the next school year (08-09) has already begun (as it has for all Douglas County Schools accepting Open Enrollment) and ends on January 15th. Kindergarten Registration for Stone Mountain Elementary for 2008-2009 is January 16 & 17th and more information can be found here.
