This was the view from my back yard this morning as the sun rose. On days when clouds are increasing, but its still relatively clear – clear enough to see to the mountains, the reflection of the sunrise against the mountains is fantastic.
Denver winters are know for spirited warm ups just before a storm. I say spirited because they are generally coupled with gusty winds. Today seems to be one of those days. It is predicted to get to a balmy 50 degrees today, followed by a sudden cold front moving in with snow tonight and very cold temps. I know within a few hours my mountain view will begin to disappear and when it reappears, I will be greeted with a new view of the front range mountains blanketed in snow.
