In An Attempt To Warm Up In Denver

by Steve Scheer on January 31, 2008

I originally attempted to post this last weekend, that was MLK weekend when it was just frigid.  I guess it was too cold for it to post properly as it never went through.  Its a bit cold again today with a fresh blanket of snow – so hopefully it will still warm you up.   - Steve

The cold has returned – even with the heat cranked up a bit, its still quite chilly in here.  Outside looks like an ice box.  Its snowing lightly on & off – its just plain old freezing out – my outdoor thermometer says 9 right now.

I know that there are plenty of you that are in town this weekend looking at Denver homes.  Those that I know of are looking at April, May and June relocation dates.

I post these pictures to you, in hopes to warm you up and let you know, the winter will soon be behind us and it will be much, much warmer.  In fact – these very frigid days are few & far between when living in Denver – but here's some of what you have to look forward to.

These first two were taken on the Waterton Cayon trail in Littleton, CO.  It must have been at least 90 degrees that day, I remember we had to stop frequently to rest in the shade with the kids.

This next photo is of the far south side of Chatfield Reservoir in Chatfield State Park.  In the warmer months, I fish here often with my family.

Here is one taken driving on Orchard in Greenwood Village toward the Denver Tech Center (DTC) to my RE/MAX office from a showing.  My buyers really liked this Greenwood Village neighborhood and it was only a 4 minute commute to the husband's DTC office.   I remember that this was an extremely hot day and I was thankful for the cooler of cold water I had packed for my buyers.

This next one will show you a typical summer day on the Front Range in the Denver area – you can see the clouds building in and rolling in over the foothills as we often have afternoon thunderstorms in the summer.  They are usually very brief and I find them to be rather pleasant as they often bring an evening cool off in temperature.  The views here from The Highwoods neighborhood in Highlands Ranch are spectacular and the homes here are incredible as well.

Next we have a simple summer scene from the Arapahoe Lakes neighborhood in Englewood, CO which is also very close to the DTC area.

Hope that warmed you up a bit.  If these temps continue, you can bet I will be posting some more summer time photos like this again soon!
