A while back I wrote a story about how I was using short video clips that I loaded to Flickr to help out of town clients relocating to Denver from the east coast make a decision on a home purchase. I posted about that in a few places and you can read the one I posted on this blog here.
After that, I was contacted by the RE/MAX Times and they wanted to write about it. The RE/MAX Times is a publication that has a quarterly print and an on-going on-line magazine for RE/MAX professionals. It was an honor that they wanted to tell other RE/MAX agents about what I was doing. The story was featured this week in the RE/MAX Times Online. Here is a screen shot and here is the article itself. It is currently featured as the top business story on their RE/MAX Times Online page.
The funny part is, when I found on Wednesday that it was up there, I was in a bit of a rush to get out the door - as I had to run out to see another home for another buyer – this time from the west coast. Again, brought the Flip and had a link with clips emailed to them about an hour later.
Its interesting, I had all of these ideas of what I was going to use the Flip for when I bought it. I figured I would be recording shots around town for video tours for Denver relocation clients to see and things of that nature. I haven't really haven't gotten to a lot of that I certainly didn't imagine when I first got it that emailing video clips of showings would be its main use as it has been so far.
Not only am I enjoying the new technology introduced to me almost every day, but enjoying thinking of new ways to use it.
