How exciting for those of us that like to ice skate! Highlands Ranch Metro Districts will open the new outdoor skating rink this November 7^th. The rink will be operated by the Metro Districts and located in the new Town Center North, near the new Super Target.

This skating rink should be a lot of fun for everyone looking to ice skate outdoors in Highlands Ranch. The rink is not made of ice, but rather a new polymer material that imitates ice and can be skated on just like ice. Technology, you’ve got to love it. In any case, there will be public skating, skate rentals, etc..

Highlands Ranch has so many activities for such a wide range of interests, this is a welcome addition. Whether you have lived here a long time or are relocating to Denver or perhaps new to living in Highlands Ranch, you are bound to find a variety of activities to suit your needs.  This is no exception.

This is such a perfect time of year for this. Can you say hot cocoa, shopping and a little winter fun! Even with a high today of 77 degrees,  last week’s big storm is still fresh on our minds and the colder weather is not far away.  I can’t wait to get out there myself after I dust off the old skates. I look forward to seeing everyone out to have fun either skating or watching.  Look for a video here posted once everything is complete!
