Denver Fireworks & Festivities for July 4th
Summer sure is flying by again this year. Maybe that’s what we all say as we get older. This summer has been filled with lots of events and good weather (for the most part) to compliment them so far. Independence Day is this weekend and always a great time to get out and enjoy the many celebrations around town.
So if you like to get out and enjoy a 4th of July parade, picnic or barbecue at home or with friends and maybe a fireworks display there are lots of choices around town for you. I’ve listed some of the larger Denver fireworks displays.

My family and I always enjoy the many activities and evening fireworks at the Highlands Ranch July 4th Celebration. In fact, we typical head home from the festivities early and watch the Highlands Ranch fireworks from Redstone Park. There are many areas around town that they are viewable as well. But if you live in another part of Denver, there should be plenty to do in your neck of the woods. Because of the Sunday date, there are many Denver fireworks displays and celebrations all weekend long.
One celebration/festival that is a must if you haven’t been before – is the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. A long time Denver 4th of July tradition, the streets of Cherry Creek turn into a art lover’s dream and there’s tons of great music, food & spirits too! My wife in particular is excited to go and see the work of Art by Nemo.
Please don’t forget, if you have pets or you are around pets during this festive time, they can get very frightened and possibly unpredictable. Take some time to consider how to care for your pets during fireworks displays around Denver.

This is certainly not a complete list of displays. Hopefully, it gives you some ideas of where you may want to celebrate your 4th of July. If that means right there on the street outside of your house, just be careful and obey all laws. If you prefer to stay indoors, there are plenty of viewing choices on t.v. to tune in to as well. Most importantly, celebrate, have fun and enjoy the season.
If there is a fireworks display or other 4th of July weekend celebration that you know of, please leave a comment and tell us about it!
