The MOST BIZARRE experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Myself and another friend decided to meet for dinner and try Merles restaurant in Littleton, Colorado. We are seated at a very small table. The waitress arrived and took our drink order. She returned with bottled water and a coke and proceeded to take our food order. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Within 5 minutes a different food server appeared with our entrees , NOT or appetizer. We asked if we could have our appetizer first and our entrees when we are done. The waitress left and the waitress who took our food order stopped by and we told her what happened and asked if she could check on the appetizer. She had a perplexed look on her face and she replied that she would go check on it. Moments later she returned with the appetizer. We were not barely into the appetizer when a completely different waitress tried to deliver our entrees a second time. Please keep in mind the table was barely big enough for a plate of nachos, two side dishes and a coke and a bottle of water! I asked the waitress to return the food to the kitchen and if she could wait until we finished our appetizer. Moments later the "manager" stopped by the table and stated he was made aware we have sent our food back to the kitchen twice and told us he comp'ed the entire bill and order us to leave the restaurant! We got up and exited the restaurant, while outside the a man who identified himself as the "owner" followed us outside and told us he order the manager to ask us to leave because he did not approve of the way we treated his food server! REALLY. He said a while back he had "some guy" yelled at on of his wait staff and he wanted to be proactive and do what he could to prevent it from happening again. OK! we explained what happened and he said business is SO GREAT he doesn't need customers like us! REALLY Like WTF did we do wrong? WOW
