Day 26 | 365 Things To Do | Tattered Cover Bookstore in Highlands Ranch
It’s Day 26 of 365 Things to Do in South Denver Suburbs and today we are going to hang out at the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Highlands Ranch. What a great place to go. Of course there is the Denver location downtown but it sure is nice to have such a fantastic bookstore practically in my backyard.
You don’t just have to be a book fan, although I am, but it’s a nice atmosphere for meeting others and just talking or taking your laptop and getting some work done. The Highlands Ranch Tattered Cover has plenty of hidden little alcoves and cozy areas with comfy chairs to relax and read. I’ve seen plenty of people a bit too relaxed and asleep in some of those chairs! I guess it could be a great place to go take a nap as well.
The Tattered Cover has a coffee shop and snack bar with lots of yummy treats to pick from. My kids like to go and get hot chocolate in the colder months. They say it is quite tasty. I have met people here several times and it’s great for meetings, sharing presentations on a laptop, that kind of thing.
The Highlands Ranch Tattered Cover has an awesome children’s area that is fun to take the kids to read, listen at story time and play around on the fun chairs and couches. Story times are Tuesday and Saturday at 10:30am. Kids always like to gather around for an animated story, moms and dads like it too. They can browse the store or get some coffee while the little ones are entertained! I would also highly recommend checking out the events going on – tons of authors that stop by for readings, signings & meet ups. There is even a local CO authors blog. On top of that story times and other great events. There’s a Tattered Cover mailing list to to be notified of special events.
The Tattered Cover Bookstore in Highlands Ranch is located in Town Center near the bell tower. Swing by, grab a treat and a book or magazine and hang out awhile.
