Day 27 | Pedal The Moon Ride in Castle Rock, CO | Things To Do in South Denver Suburbs
On Day 27 of 365 Things to Do in South Denver Suburbs we are going to Plan ahead with a great upcoming event in Castle Rock, CO
The Pedal the Moon Ride will occur in Castle Rock on August 21st, however, registration ends this coming Saturday August 14th. This really looks like a great family friendly event that gives us all another way to enjoy the beautiful Colorado outdoors – at night on the eve of a full moon.
And if you have lived in Denver any length of time, you know that the August, September and October full moons are spectacular.
Pedal the Moon ride will begin on 8/21 at 8:30 pm in the Butterfield Crossing Park at the picnic pavilion and riders will ride together toward Festival Park which round trip should be about a 6 mile ride. The cost is $10 both for in and out of district and kids under 12 are $5. and includes a Tshirt. Registration is required and will close on 8/14.
It is sure to be a sight to be seen as riders will be decorating their bikes with lights and there will even be prizes for decorations. Helmets and bikes with front head lamps and rear blinking lights are needed.
I haven’t decided if I am going to attend Pedal the Moon, but I sure am thinking about it. I am going to talk to the kids today and see if they would like to try this, perhaps I will see you there!
