Day 31 | Dog Parks in the South Denver Suburbs
Day 31 of 365 Things To Do in South Denver Suburbs and today we take our dog out for some fun! I love dogs. Always have. If you have a dog and you’re looking for a place to go and let them loose to have fun, then you have a lot of options for off leash dog parks in the south Denver suburbs. Off leash dog parks can be a lot of fun for you and your dog. Great exercise, they run most of the time and great for socializing. (Both you and your dog) However, some dogs may be intimidated and some dogs don’t always play nice, so it’s not for everyone.
I’m fortunate that I live in Highlands Ranch, and right near one of four off leash dog parks available in Highlands Ranch. If you get out to one of the off leash dog parks, make sure to bring water and something to pick up after your pet. Most places have both available, but you never know when supplies run out.
So here is a list of off leash dog parks to visit in the south Denver suburbs. This isn’t a complete list, but it should get you started. I hope that you take advantage of these wonderful places for your “best friend”.
Highlands Ranch:
Rovers Run Dog Park
Hound Hill Dog Park
Fido’s Field Dog Park

Chatfield State Park – Although the huge off leash dog area is undergoing changes for dogs off-leash, Chatfield is still an incredible place to visit and bring your dog, even if on leash. You can read more about that here.
Parker:
Bayou Gulch Regional Dog Park
If you go to any of the dog parks, some of the rules for most include picking up after your dog( this is a biggy), dogs must be vaccinated, dogs showing aggression should be removed, dogs should be spayed or neutered, don’t bring food into the park, obey all other rules posted at the park. Have fun and let your dog have fun as well!
