Day 37 | Littleton Historic Museum | 40th Anniversary Celebration
Today, on Day 37 of 365 Things to do in South Denver Suburbs, you should head over to old Littleton to join in the festivities of the Littleton Museum’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.
The Littleton Museum has always been one of my favorites around the Denver suburbs, we became regulars when my children were very little, I remember them toddling around with delight as the watched the farm animals run about the 1860′s farm.
As they got older, they took an interest in the history part of the museum and asked about the Blacksmith’s house of the 1890′s farm and the one room school house on the 1860′s side.
I can’t say that they have asked to go over there in quite a while, but when I told them yesterday that I was popping over to take some photos, they both remembered how much they loved the Littleton Museum.
They started talking about the fall festival that they attended several times and then the field trips from preschool & playgroups as well.
The Littleton Museum 40th Anniversary Celebration will be today, 8/18, with festivities beginning at 4:00 pm. There will be 19th century games on the 1890′s farm, birthday cake (at 6:00). “Littleton Jeopardy” , food and music by The Acoustic ReJuveniles at 6:30 pm playing favorites from the 1960′s. The Littleton Museum is located at 6028 S. Gallup St. Littleton just a few blocks south of Littleton Blvd.
