Day 43 | War Memorial Rose Garden | Littleton CO
Today, on Day 43 of 365 Things To Do in South Denver Suburbs we take a break from swimming, golfing, hiking and all the other activities we’ve been doing in the south Denver suburbs. Today we go to the War Memorial Rose Garden in Littleton, CO.
The gardens are beautiful and peaceful with rows of roses to admire. Be careful, there may be bees this time of year getting ready for winter! The gardens also have a fountain and a gazebo. My kids used to like to throw a penny in and make a wish.
If you like to take pictures outside, this is a great spot. I know a lot of people come here for family photos and other professional settings. Another popular use for the gardens is wedding receptions. I can’t say that I have been here for a reception, but I’ve been by and have seen others having fun.
The War Memorial Rose Garden is a nice place to stop in for a bit, take some time to smell the roses and find a little peace. They are located just to the west of Sterne Park in Littleton, not far from Old Town Littleton. If you go now, there is a huge vegetable garden bordering the west side of the Memorial Garden with lots of vegetables and other plants. I don’t think you can get in, but somebody has quite a harvest there!
