Day 53 | A Taste of Colorado
Day 53 will last for 4 days here as you have a long weekend to head downtown and enjoy A Taste of Colorado. A Taste of Colorado is an annual tradition now in downtown Denver for the Labor weekend and if you have recently moved to Denver or the Denver suburbs, you should definitely head down and check it out. not only will you have the chance to try tasty treats from all sorts of Denver restaurants, but there is free entertainment all weekend plus additional attractions.
Some of the restaurants that I love that are participating in this year’s A Taste of Colorado are:
La Fondue, Mustard’s Last Stand, Grand Luxe Cafe and Gelazzi Gelatto. You can find a full list of Denver restaurants here that are participating.
And then there of course is festival favorites like Kettle Korn, Turkey Legs, corn on the cob, cheese steaks and more. If fine dining is more your style, you can try that too with selections from Assignments, The Broker, The Cork House Wine Restaurant, EvoBean, Olive Oil, and Randolph’s.
The food is just half the fun though. There is entertainment galore all weekend with bands already underway )the festival started at 11:30 am today – Friday). Highlights include Wendy Woo, Dotsero, Hazel Miller, Dave Mason, Gregg Rolie Band, The Groove Hawgs, Bret Michaels, Pan Jumpies, Steve Azar, The Four Tops, Buckstein, Kory Brunson, Walker WIlliams.
The festival in general is very family friendly with activities for the kids and even arts & crafts and other special attractions.
The hours of A Taste of Colorado are:
Friday 11:30 am – 10:00 pm 9/3
Saturday & Sunday 9/4 & 9/5 10:30 am – 10:00 pm
Monday 10:30 am – 8:00 pm 9/6
A Taste of Colorado is in Civic Center Park at Colfax & Broadway in Downtown Denver. Parking can be tricky, take RTD or Light Rail if you can.
