Day 77 | Redstone Skate Park | Highlands Ranch CO
On Day 77 of 365 Things To Do in South Denver Suburbs we are heading over to Redstone Park in Highlands Ranch, but specifically to the Skate Park at Redstone.
The Redstone Skate Park is on the north side of the park, just west of the main entrance, It is a fairly large skate park with 2 separate areas. It can get busy during certain times, but it seems that for the most part there is enough space to accommodate everyone. I have seen skate boards, scooters, and bikes and it seems that even the biggest of the big kids are careful of others and make sure the little kids get to ride as well.
There is an exciting event coming up at the Redstone Skate Park this weekend. On Saturday 10/2/10, the Ruler of the Railzz competition will begin at 11 am – 12:00 pm and is open to all. Even if Redstone skate park isn’t your “home” park and you skate in a different metro Denver skate park, you should check this out. Registration is at the event beginning at 10:30 and is $20.00. There will be five different divisions for competition at the event. Even if you are not up for entering, it will be a fun event to watch and I plan on bringing my own kids over to check it out.
The parks in Highlands Ranch are maintained by the Highlands Ranch Metro Districts and Redstone Skate Park is no exception. I walk my dog every day through the park in the morning and almost every single day I see HRMD staff out there tidying up and making sure everything is in order. Redstone Park is located in Highlands Ranch on Town Center Drive between Santa Fe Drive and Foothills Canyon Blvd.
