The neighborhood of Weatherstone, Highlands Ranch is a wonderful community of 294 homes ranging in size from around 2800-4000 s.f. and priced from around $400k to over a million. Many of the homes are built by Sanford/Beazer as well as other custom and semi-custom homes by Virden and Forest Glen. Many of the lots are larger with beautiful landscaping and some with fantastic views. Homes are typically well upgraded and show beautifully.
Weatherstone as a community is wonderful. There is a community pool just for residents where neighbors gather together and have parties and get togethers all maintained by the Weatherstone at Highlands Ranch Association. Within the community is Pronghorn Park and access to trails at BackCountry, both maintained by Highlands Ranch Metro Districts. Residents of Weatherstone not only get to enjoy their private pool and clubhouse but also the many recreational facilities throughout Highlands Ranch through the Highlands Ranch Community Association. The Weatherstone community is welcoming and socially active for all residents providing the opportunity to really be part of a community.
Weatherstone is served by the Douglas County School District. Stone Mountain elementary school is a state of the art, “green” building with a high level of education. Middle school children attend Ranch View Middle School and High school is Thunderridge High School. All the schools are very close by with Stone Mountain right in the neighborhood. There are plenty of nearby private and charter school options as well, including Valor Christian High School just minutes away.
Weatherstone is a good commute for those working in the DTC and Meridian areas, with easy access to C470 both areas are a mere 15 minutes away. Getting downtown Denver is as easy as a straight shot up Santa Fe by car, around 30 minutes or take the RTD Light rail at the Mineral station only 12 minutes from Weatherstone. Shopping and dining are nearby at Highlands Ranch Town Center with Super Target, Sports Authority and Tattered Cover Bookstore, Old Blinking Light, Landsdowne Arms and a variety of convenient food and shopping options. For even more major shopping, Weatherstone is only 20 minutes from the Park Meadows Mall and around 12 minutes from Aspen Grove outdoor mall.
